Why double-wall conduits are preferred for medical equipment cable protection
Medical equipment adds three demands: easy cleaning, flame retardancy and collapse-free bending. The smooth outer layer and fibre reinforcement of double-wall conduits map exactly to these; parameter tables included.
Single-wall conduits have corrugated surfaces with cleaning dead corners; the smooth over-coated outer layer of double-wall conduits wipes down with disinfectants, matching medical surface conventions.
Structurally, a second soft-PVC layer wraps the corrugated core with axial and radial fibre reinforcement: vacuum-proof without collapse (critical for supply/suction hoses) and bending radius as small as the OD.
